She

She

A Poem by Jon
"

an OLDie that describes how pathetic i once was . . .

"

She walked past me one week-day morning,

couldn’t believe what I could see.

I liked her from the first moment,

she didn’t look at me

I spoke to her for a week or two

And she soon turned out to be

A kindred spirit for my lonely soul

It felt like she liked me.

The first time that I kissed her

It was all I hoped it would be

I loved her with all my heart and soul,

She felt a lot for me.

She slept beside me every single night,

until I could guarantee

I loved her like I’ve never loved,

she said that she loved me.

We tried to break a thousand times

but it wasn’t meant to be -

couldn’t walk away from her,

she couldn’t walk from me.

And in the end I began to trust

though she needed to be free.

I loved her with all I had to give

but she never did love me.

It had alot of thought and heart in it. Sometimes the feelings go away but never think that it was everrr your fault. Its a very sweet poem. and there is always someone better out there.

It is sad when strong feelings are not returned, but in the end, you have to believe that it was not meant to be and that there is someone better out there waiting for you. Love is the strangest, and it will confuse, hurt, and make you feel incrediable all at the same time.

I think you were wrong to believe that she never loved you. Maybe the feeling just went away Not all romances are meant to last forever.

The fact that she couldn't walk away from you and slept by your side every night could be good arguments of her love or dependence on you in any case love never makes us pathetic. Only giving up does that.

I loved this piece, we have all felt the agony of love found and love lost. I too feel confused by this site from time to time. I just joined four days ago. But eventually it gets better. I think you write with your heart, and I believe you really feel what you write. I want to read more. keep it up. Much repsect. xo-D.E.

lol Jon! your introduction made me laugh out loud but your poem didn't, it made me see what a fine poet and man you are, we are all sad sometimes, some of us can express and move forward, some of us can't. I am so glad I am one of your sort of poet. Free as a bird called Tai Chi Italy, smiling at you x

O!
u werent pathetic.....u really loved her and there's nothing pathetic about that....it's a pity it turned out otherwise for her......it wasnt meant to be........but there's definitely a nicer surprise in the future.

Take with u the good memories and leave the rest behind...

things change, ppl change....life goes on!

x,
O!
