FineA Poem by KdPI want to permanently record every moment spent with you Burn your words into my skin Ink your smile out of my eyes So I can always look back on us.
I know I don’t have the right But nothing can stop me From writing your name in the stars And breathing your sarcasm into the night.
Let me capture that smirk On film, In a Jar Behind bars To stop it from committing this felony against my heart.
Because I just want to press your voice between my lips To hear the way it says my name from the inside Feel it beating against my molars All morals aside, Darling you’re beautiful
He says “I think saying nothing is better than saying the wrong thing” Never have I bit my tongue so hard. A lot of the time I can’t control my words. Most of the time I can’t control my hands, “Impulse Control” He sighs.
Oh but if he only knew the truth What my hands want to do How touching his hair is the closest I come to Nirvana How just the simple thought of a kiss is... Because it really is that innocent The way his tired eyes wake me up And his laugh gives me life. The way his every move keeps me motivated.
Love is not easy. Love is often not reciprocated. Love is what I have for you. And that’s fine. © 2016 KdPReviews
