Mother, DearestA Poem by Talia M.The lamentations of a bereaved daughterMother, dearest, I miss your smile As warm as a day in the beauty of spring And as bright as sunbeams that glitter on the sea. Mother, dearest, I miss your voice As sweet as the sound of a nightingale's song And as gentle as snowfall on cold mountain peaks. Mother, dearest, I miss your touch As soft as a rose petal sitting on my palm And as soothing as the breeze that caresses the trees. Mother, dearest, I miss you so As much as my heart can bear and more And sadly, mother, dearest, I'll see you no more.
