Something BlueA Story by Zen of TaiyoRandom office observationsThe office is practically empty. Most of the editing staff decided to stay home today and more than likely the rest of the week. I should have taken a holiday as well. I would have stayed home, but I received the infamous "blue screen of death" this morning. So, I packed up my laptop and headed in. There are only eight of us here. Eight! Out of the twenty odd people that are normally running around liked coffee-crazed maniacs. I could use a coffee right now. Coffee! Café! Gahwa! Kawa! Need. Some. Nowa! Venice's Something Borrowed slug featuring Fourth of July weddings is a snore! Something Red, White and Blue. How bloody predictable!? My eyes are literally crossing. As an entertainment writer, she certainly is not! So says the COPY editor! Oh! Frances has Starbucks! Mmmmm, Starbucks: A venti Caffe Mocha w/ Soy, no whip. Don't you go wrinkling your nose up at the thought of soy. It's bloody good. Besides, I have no choice in the matter. If I drink anything with milk in it, I get the worst case of...well, whatever! I figure a coffee would make for an easier day. If Venice's copy is any indication of today's editing assignments, it's going to be a long one, that's for sure. I'm buggered. No sleep for Taiyo last night. Oh noooo! I decided that watching hours of 'Snapped' would be a better way to spend my sleeping hours. Maybe I'll visit the toilet for a kip. Ay mira que lindo! The Lawyer decided to grace me...er us...with his presence. Sigh. Is there anything he doesn't look good in? Black trousers and a cerulean blue dress shirt the colour of the Caribbean sky. Mira, just about anything looks brilliant against that flawless copper coloured skin. Meticulously shaved beard adorning his beautifully chiseled face. Oyamaa! I could play in those charcoal curls all day. I'm literally biting my knuckle as he saunters by my cubicle, coffee in one hand and a pile of file folders in the other. Okay, he doesn't exactly saunter. He has more of a "out of my way, I've got things to do and people to see" sort of gait. My gaze follows him to his cubicle until he disappears around the drab, shabby walls. I think I may be borderline here on a sexual harassment suit for my not-so ladylike thoughts about this Greek god. © 2012 Zen of TaiyoAuthor's Note
