The Dark Room

The Dark Room

A Poem by Tai
"

Being alone can be your lesson or it can kill you forever

"
In a room without no windows
No air or purpose
Only the shadows of my past friends
Voices are echoing around like a merry-go-round
Emotionally ripping my ears from the distant yells of my life
But this room isn’t cold or hot
Nor empty and hollow
Only dark with one shadow in front of me
The shadow speaks to me with regret
Like it was sorry about my endeavors
Why would you shut up?
You never was here before
Shallow waters creeped in my eyes
They turned black and attacked my heart
Until it was drowned into a lake of misery
I see my friends on a boat in the distance
Laughing as I sink to my doom
The room is closing slowly without warning
I ascend to the ceiling where I look down at myself
Construction of pills and blood is the floor below
While my body lays cold on the wood
