Soldier

I was thinking.. just about most of the things that people think once they think about a soldier. Most of them don't really appreciate them as much as they should. A friend of mine was holding a contest called "Support Our Troops." So, this was my opinion

You'd give your life for me,

my family and all my friends.

You'd fight our battles for us,

until they came to an end.

 

You're someone I adore,

and someone I look up to.

You're someone I appreciate,

for all the things you do.

 

You protect our country,

for harmful things to come.

You stand up and fight it out,

even when things are glum.

 

The truth is I love you,

in a very special way,

and I thank you for all that you do,

each and every day.
