How much can you really feel?

How much can you really feel?

A Poem by Tai Chi Italy Take Two
"

A response to enduring separate in love poem

"

When emotions close down

The heart starts to die.

As does the soul.

The mind is last to take the roll

Over the hill and far away.

It's sad to say, but!

You know me!

I don’t hold anything back.

I love you still

And I know I can

Make you really feel good again.

Simply because this lady loves

The tall dark man

Hiding his pain under the hood

of rejection of a life that’s good

For you. Come to momma Tai.

For there is no chance

Our feelings can ever die.

Beautiful! A moving and emotive poem. I especially connected with the first stanza; the pain of being in love but feeling a separation is a harsh whether it is simply because you've both changed or there is a physical separation. Touching stuff, well done.
