She's right!

She's right!

A Poem by Tai Chi Italy Take Two
"

Inspired by advice from a good friend

"

She said, 'you can't expect

everyone to be like you.

You can't control

what they do.'

She's right

It's true.

I cannot expect people

To live by my standards

Be honest and sincere.

Care about each other.

Show compassion.

Make love

the fashion.

She's right!

But

does this mean

I should sink

To a level of

the brink...

                .

               .

              .

             .

            .

          .

       .

    .

End where life stinks?

I like the conversational tone in this. Every line to this poem catches my eye. The topic of this poem is very commonly spoken about. I do think that people should expect better from people who really can do better and not slack off. But for the real slackers they are like that to everyone. I wouldn't say you are trying to control them but making them improve there attitude towards life.

It's about putting boundaries on one's self.

"You can't control
what they do.'"

But you can control what you do. You can only put boundaries on yourself. Interesting topic.

absolutely true and well recieved honesty that anticipates the notion
to never give in, but believe. and you capture the theme quite
artistically, i love the dropped sentence at the end and the way it plays
into the motive and form,an all encompassing feature,
this poem is subtle and uplifting, wonderful job, you have talent.
