Music opens my soul

Music opens my soul

A Poem by Anna
"

Something I wrote long ago

"

Music opens my soul. It lets me pour out what I feel and hope for. But, It hurts, that I cant read music well. That I can barely play a tune. The flute is what I shall start to play. The piano she will teach me someday. It will get challenging and I will get frusterated. But, I welcome that challenge and I will win in the end you bet your Life on it.

I really like this prose because I can relate. I really want to learn how to play guitar and I can play some piano, but I know it will be tough. I just want to understand music better, since it's such a large part of my life. So yes, I agree completely with you. My favorite line: "The piano she will teach me someday." The rhyme fit perfectly.

Again, I really enjoyed reading this. Nice work.

I can relate to this, and in my mind creating a piece that an audience can relate to is the true sign of good writing. Maybe you can experiment with rhythm? This seems more like prose than poetry to me. Then again, it works well as prose!
