Waiting for You

Never wait too long for the man who never comes back.

        I walked idly through the woods,

   The soft padding of my feet,

   Is the only thing I hear,

   As I come to where we'll meet,

  

    I watch as moonlight glitters,

    Off the dark and musty sky,

    And I cant help but think,

    That you're the reason why,

 

 

    That I see beauty in the little things,

    And kindness where there's none,

    And light where there never will be,

    Never could be the sun,

 

    And love in hateful beings,

    And hope where there is pain,

    And I know you placed this feeling,

    In my heart once again,

 

    And though the night is creeping past,

    And you have not yet arrived,

    The wrought-iron cast,

    Of faith in you holds strong,

 

    And I wait,

    For hours,for days,

    And I wait,

    For an eternity,

 

 

 

     Until hope is gone again.
