He was the only one on the street. He was leaning against the wall which was parallel to the curb. His cigarette was nearly to an end. I guess that’s why you would have found him reaching for his pocket to grab his pack of Lucky Strikes. It was 3:00 in the morning so there were rarely any cars that passed by, but if you did happen to be in a car driving down town towards the plaza in the small town of Santa Fe, New Mexico you would have felt time slow down when you passed him. You probably would have even noticed the rain some how completely missing him. A completely dry man outside in the pouring rain is pretty odd. Or maybe you perhaps would not notice any of this because you might have been locked on to his eyes which you would have seen to have been swimming with information. His light bluish white eyes would have stolen any one’s gaze long enough for him to learn everything about you. Some people that know him say he is an angel and some say he is the complete opposite. An angel of darkness as the people that don’t know him don’t even know he exists. Any spirit close enough would feel his presence as there was nothing that could hide from the power exploding from his aura around him. Maybe this man would be considered a boy as he was only 17 and he would be the one to make the choice if every one was to live or if every one was to donate their lives unwillingly to a God currently being unmasked at this very moment. The boy lit up his next cigarette, the rain and wind no match to killing the flame that supported his habit. At this he started walking down the sidewalk then turned down an ally way and disappeared into the shadows of the dark. Then something happened that defied the laws of physics. What looked kind of like lightning flashed through the air where the boy disappeared. It was gone before any one could process such a thing, but it would have burnt an image into your mind. A single word to be precise. SIZZLE © 2008 siriReviews
