Don't Run Away

The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson inspired me to write this. I recommend that series to anyone. It was great James Patterson is a GREAT writer.

Have you ever dreamed,
of having wings,
Have you ever tried to fly away,
Hold on to those dreams,
Don't let them run away,
Because someday,
You'll need dreams,
When your imagination runs away,
Take those dreams,
Hold them tight,
Cherish them every day and night
And When you want to run away,
Think...... If you run you dreams will too

Today in my lit class we were reading Langston Hughs "Harlem" and this is a very nice contrast to that poem. I really enjoyed this poem. It is true if you try to run they will to. It definitely is a nice contrast Harlem talks about neglecting and forgetting dreams till the point where they explode and vanish and you talk about how your dreams won't give up on you they'll run with you. Interesting. Very nicely written.
