What Happened

this poem explains its self

What Happened to me?

Im trying to keep My evil thoughts from becoming reality.

Im trying to keep this vile tongue from speaking,

What Happened to me? 

When did i die and become this? 

if there is a way lord, 

teach me how to fight this.

Theirs a war inside my heart, 

it was never like this.

My veins are rotting from this sin filled anger, 

My mind is consumed with things that you could never think of .

When will this end?

or will it ever? 

I hear the demons whispering that it will never.

Very nice piece. It evokes thought and consideration. And poetry should. But I'm reminded of an old Cherokee proverb: "An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one I feed.”

ahhh the demons. i am a christian and i believe when something bad is happening in any situation, the demons are out to get me. lol it might sound silly but thats just me,
