Colorado Night

Colorado Night

A Poem by SydneyLK

This leaves me no choice
I am in a sure bind
The things before me must require
leave that behind
To find my true voice
in ultimate empty lack-of-Void
The road is long
I am cold
I just keep moving on and don't
pay any attention to the old
feeling that just won't
leave me alone
Desirous of everything
Yearning for just a cup of coffee
a slice of pie damn near anything
will do as long as it fills me up
But boys I gotta keep moving on
its been nice talking
Leave the neon smoke roadside bar and get gone
The bus stop to LA is hulking
great big mountains all around around around
and I feel small sulking
like a little child
I don't wanna leave!
I feel wild
Beyond reprieve
I was happy and warm
but now I'm here and find solace
only in the knowledge that the swarm
of bees in my mind will ease with holy time's pass
But right now I feel crazy
The light off the grimy broken glass
Sunrise over the mountains hazy
These purple mountains majestic
ancient peaks of saintly knowing
eternity or pretty damn near and I'm just a little tick
You betcha I started to panic when them mountains started snowing
But soon the bus came and I was warm and out that cold Colorado
Onto the gleaming glass of LA
But I can't decide which is more wild.
