A Rose Down Memory Lane

A Rose Down Memory Lane

A Poem by Lee Tran

...you are the air I  b r e a t h e...

Entwined - a rose within a kiss when
I taste your sweet aroma, as your petals
touch my face; I sleep on your bed, and let
your stalks wrap around my body, caressing
every niche till I'm sound asleep under this
starry night sky in your eyes.

...my      special       someone...

Enveloped - your words wash over as the
cool breeze lift me on flightless clouds,
and I travel with wings spread; I dream
of cherry tree blossoms with you by my side
as my significant other walks memory
lane, in stilled camera shots.

...my
             dearly
                          beloved...
