seduction of water

seduction of water

A Poem by Syndra Lynn

a single air bubble
beautiful as a poem
follows the curve
of my neck and slips
over my shoulder

i float

still
but for slow cadenced
inhale
exhale
she holds me, feeds me.
the water, my mother
restores parched spirit
with ripples of grace

i float

suspended infinitely
no longer warm pool
beneath pendent fig.
Universal womb.
cosmic journey. where whispers
of memory touch my divinity
