rotten truth

in court

when trust rust away like peeled zest

and the last blow that surely

miss an open mouth

and familiarity seem strange

and unknown 

and reality is

you are all alone

all alone to  

vow, to speak the truth that will sentence

you

essay lies that spear, stairs

and tame

calling on re-enforcements,

a witness to come and spill instead.

imagine that brother you called was just like a father to you

before god and man he told the truth
