AccidentA Story by Syaim Salleh (Syirzxing)a story about an accident
Dear Thyrze,
Hey, Thyrze. It has been a long time. Have you been doing good, pal? Well, my intention of sending this e-mail to you is to tell you about an accident which had occured to me and my friends. A long time ago, there was a heavy rain at our school. The strong wind blew fiercely. The bell rang and broke the silence in my class. The school was over. My friends and I walked calmly to the bus shelter. Including us, there were about eight people left at the bus shelter. We stood there, shivering, waiting for our parents to come and pick us. The rain did not stop, instead, it poured even heavily than before. Lightning flashed viciously in the distance. A huge clap of thunder followed afterwards. Unknowingly, the lightning struck the old, rusty bus shelter. The cover was blown away. I was frightened to death. My friends and the other people screamed and ran for their lives. I was so frightened that I could not move my muscles even an inch. My mind was blank. My unfortunate friend, Ian, was pulling me when an enormous steel pillar hit him. He collapsed to the ground, crushed by the pillar. Blood was all over the road. I, who was standing still, fell onto my knees. I knew Ian was badly hurt. Without me noticing it, tears flowed down my cheek. I gathered up my strength to move my numb body. And even though my legs felt heavy, I ran to the nearest public phone. I reached out the phone with my shivering hand. I called the ambulance, crying. I told them everything that had happened to me and Ian, without leaving a single bit of it. Several minutes later, the ambulance arrived. Ian was placed on a stretcher. He was given the first aid by the doctors in the ambulance's van. He was rushed to the hospital. Miraculously, Ian did not die. He was hospitalized for one month. He also received some stitches. I visited him everyday. I apologized to him every single day in the hospital. And he always say these words, " You don't have to apologize to me. We're best friends. How can I leave you behind in that situation? Friends help each other, not leaving each other. I will never leave you, ever. I swear. " Well, I admit, I cried every time he says those words. So, that's the story of the accident. I will never forget this accident ever. So, that's it. Bye and write later. Yours, ntailz © 2013 Syaim Salleh (Syirzxing)Author's Note
