A black 1976 Ferrari zooms down a busy road. The driver is a 20 something year old male named Gilbert. He has platinum blonde hair, and red eyes. The road that he's driving along is dotted with small stores, houses, and farms. He feels the warm summer breeze against his face, smells the aromas of a Michigan summer, and sees the beautiful wildflowers bathing in the sun. He can taste the ice cold Dr. Pepper flowing into his mouth. He joyfully sings along to Fall Out Boy's 'Sugar,  We're Going Down' which is playing through the stereo system. Suddenly, a blue 2009 Ford Bronco slams into him at an intersection.
A young father, by the name of Ezekiel, with white hair,  and blue eyes stumbles out of the Ford Bronco. "Oh my gosh!" He approaches the now damaged vehicle. The smell of gas and oil hangs in the air. He sees that Gilbert is unconscious, has a broken leg, and is bleeding from a small wound on his chest. He fishes his cell phone out, and dials for an ambulance.
Gilbert wakes up to smell the aroma of cleaning supplies. He tries to move,  but is only met with sharp bites of pain. His room is a beautiful light blue.  A woman walks into the room. She has long, straight,  raven hair. Just below her right shoulder is a identification badge.
"Excuse me, but why am I in the hospital?" Gilbert asks her through the oxygen mask that he's wearing.
"Oh! Your awake...! I'm Dr. Winchester. Mr. Flayme, you were in an automobile accident three days ago. Your family is in the waiting room. Would you like me to tell them that you're awake?"
"Yeah."
An elderly couple comes into the room. The man has graying brown hair, and a small goatee. The woman, his wife, has short blonde hair, and wears a pair of slim glasses. "Oh, my baby!" The woman says while gently stroking his cheek.
"Chloe, let him be. He needs to rest up to heal."
"I know Phil, but I just can't shake this feeling." Gilbert sits up, and then yells out in pain.

And I am feeling so small
It was over my head
I know nothing at all

And I will stumble and fall
I'm still learning to love
Just starting to crawl

Dr. Winchester runs in.
"Mr. Flayme, you weren't supposed to sit up yet! I'm sorry, but you two need to leave." She ushers Gilbert's parents outside. "Mr. Flayme_"
"Please, call me Gil."
"Well, Gil, I'm going to have to check for bleeding." Calls in some nurses to take Gil to the ER.
"Dr. W, we've got a problem here!" Another doctor says.
"Wha-what's happening?" He asks Dr. Winchester.
    "Your bleeding internally!"
An hour after surgery. "Mr. and Mrs. Flayme. I'm sorry, but we couldn't quell the bleeding.... You should start preparing to say goodbye to him."
"Mom, Dad..., call Allison. Te- tell her to get here." Gil tells his parents. His dad walks out of the room, yet his mom sits there, holding his hand, crying. Mr. Flayme is on his phone, talking to a woman.
"Is Gil going to be alright now, Mr. Flayme?" Allison asks, worry showing in her voice.
"Allison, he'll be alright, but you do need to get here. He asked for you personally."
"Ok. Tell him that I'm on my way, and that I'll be there soon." Gil pleasantly receives this news. Half an hour goes by agonizingly slow.
"Hurry up_ Allison... I can't hold out much longer.... I'm giving up."

Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you

And I will swallow my pride
You're the one that I love
And I'm saying goodbye

He starts crying, and motions for his mother to get closer. He whispers something into her ear. She gets up, opens a drawer, and pulls something out.
"I got it honey. I'll give it to her, I promise."
"Thank you Mom. I love you, and the rest of the family.... Let them know that." Chloe just sat there, grasping her son's hand.
"Mom, please say something." Gil took his final breath, and went into the sweet, and loving embrace of death.
"I will Gilbert, I will. I promise." She sat there squeezing her son's lifeless hand as nurses went to work. A lake of tears flowing from her eyes. A beautiful young woman with Auburn hair,  fare skin, and deep brown eyes like a lake of melted chocolate bursts into the room.
"I'M HERE GIL!" She screams. Chloe walks up to her.
"I-I-I'm sorry Allison.... He's gone." She starts to cry even harder.
"...Gil's... DEAD?" Allison doesn't cry yet, for she went into a state of shock.
"He wanted me to tell you something, and give you something." Chloe quietly tells her.
"...What did he want you to tell me Mrs. Flayme?" Allison asks Chloe. Chloe produces the item that she grabbed from the drawer, and hands it to Allison. Allison opens it.
"A... ring...? It's beautiful. Why did he want you to give this to me?" Allison asked.
"He was going to propose to you on the day of the accident." Allison falls onto her knees, and cries.
"I... would've said yes." Phil walks up to them.
"And we would have loved to have you be our daughter-in-law." Gil's parents say at the same time.

Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
And anywhere I would've followed you (Oh-oh-oh-oh)
Say something, I'm giving up on you

Say something, I'm giving up on you
Say something...
