My Darling Pen.

My Darling Pen.

A Poem by Sydney Evans
"

Another poem, that the idea was given to me by by Stacey Nutt. (:

"

I pull out a blank white sheet.

The lines outstretched.

I love loose leaf,

I imagine the words to be etched.

I pull out my darling pen.

With it's ocean blue ink.

I start writing all over again.

When I write I think.

I hold you tight my darling pen.

I won't you let go till the job is done.

I'll keep you close like a friend.

Our journey has just begun.

I love the words you put out.

I love that we're a team.

Writing is what I care about.

I have a nack for it, it seems.

:) , first cellphone and now a pen , if you were living in the world of cartoons where even the inanimate are alive , you would definitely have gotten lots of hugs from your pen and cell and then a big pinch in the ear from your cell when it reads the last line of its poem :) .... Jokes apart , nice write once again and you are right , you do have a knack for this .

A very good poem. Nothing as good as a good pen. I must have a pen that can write clear and without problems. I like the purpose of this poem. A excellent poem.

Pros: Adorable! In a....sophisticated sort of way. It's beautiful and well-written, and it communicates so well the power a simple writing utensil can have on us writers. Although, I admit, writing things out tends to hinder my train of thought because I can't get it down fast enough, so I just stick to typing it out most of the time.

Cons: "Nack" should be "Knack"

Overall: I like this!

I love getting inspiration at odd times to write a poem. And I think your inspiration did you well with this poem. I love it and I love how I can imagine you with your darling pen, writing up a storm. You wrote this beautifully! Great poem!
