Ode to Sally.

Ode to Sally.

A Poem by Sydney Evans
"

A poem to my cell phone. Thank you Stacey Lynn Nutt for giving me the idea to write this poem (:

"
Dear Sally, my darling mobile phone.
You have helped me connect.
I'm in dismay when we get to a dead zone.
The only time you can't keep conversations in check.

You're what I touch the most.
Your delicate keys One through nine and a through z.
To you Sally I propose a toast,
Without you who'd hear me?

You are a beauty all your own.
Your camera captures life.
I love to hear your ringtone.
With a phone like you, no reason to gripe.

Sally, I want this forever.
Our relationship can't end.
Let you go? I'll never.
Until, I get to upgrade again.

Poem: Tee-hee, this poem made me giggle. I love how you're all lovey-dovey, then add a twist at the end. It makes for a great read. And! I love how it's about something modern. People need to realize poetry is about what is around us and what we feel. Just because the Masters wrote about things from back then doesn't mean we have to. They wrote about what they felt and what was around them, too. The times have just changed. Alright, my rant is done.

Cons: None.

Overall: A cute, funny poem.

LOL! I'm sure your cell phone loves you too -- provided you don't accidentally run it thru the laundry.

I don't believe this story. Poor Sally will be dropped for the new phone that does everything. A interesting poem. I realize cell phones are important for the young people. A fun poem to read.
