Perseverance

Perseverance

A Poem by Sydney Evans
"

Even when I feel at the bottom I know I can make it too the top.

"
I'm angry with myself.
I'm disappointed can't you see?
This could endanger my health.
All of this regretful misery.

I want to do my best.
I want to prove I have cause.
I never can take rest.
Then I will have accepted loss.

I want to show my ability.
I want to rise above.
I'll do it with humility,
because what I do, I love.

Sometimes i'll meet problems.
Obstacles will block my path.
I'll do what I can to solve them.
I'm never going back.

People will try to push me down.
They'll try to extinguish my will.
They won't stop me till i'm found.
Perseverance my treasured skill.

Pros: Beautifully written! Your word choice and placement is fantastic, and the whole thing flows wonderfully. Not to mention that little rhyme scheme you have going on. The idea behind this poem is quite interesting as well. I can sense frustration, yet determination as well.

Cons: None.

Overall: Well-written and well put :)
