Indiana

Indiana

A Poem by Sydney Ellen
"

I've been raised in Indiana my entire life. I've had many fond memories in this little recognized state. And here I leave you, with 'Indiana.'

"
Indiana

All the fondness of a giant city
Allways brings me to sense pity

All the sounds of a never sleeping place
Seems to bring a frown upon my face

But when I look at all the lights
Of the never ending starlight

A grin grows on my face
And I say, "I love this place."

Yes, I call us the real "Children of the Corn"
But we are anything but forlorn

My dear Indiana, I love you so
Your little recognition, will sure to be known

I shall continue to watch you develop and grow
