Random Suicide ParisA Story by Sydney EllenYes, this is very random. It has no story line. No main plot. Just a random suicide off the Effiel Tower in Paris.I looked down below. The water was glistening in the moonlight with a touch of the Eiffel Tower’s silhouette barely visible from the water’s edge. I looked around. The city’s lights of Paris gleamed at me with a smile, greeting me warmly. I looked down. I wanted to jump…so very badly. I wanted to end all the pain inside me, with one little action. One little push and everything would be okay, like it was before all the lies. All the hate. All the betrayal. I took one deep breath, and moved forward. “No!” was the voice behind me, fiercely grabbing my arm and yanking me backwards. “What the hell are you thinking!? You could’ve killed yourself!” It was Jeremy. Sweat was running down his face like rain. “Please…Jennifer…Please tell me that you weren’t trying to…” He couldn’t finish the sentence without looking dead into my eyes. I just stared. “Let me go, Jeremy.” “No.” “Jeremy, please. Its better this way.” “No! It’s not! You don’t understand! You can’t just kill yourself! You have people who love you and would go to the f*****g moon to have you happy!” “Name on God damn person, Jeremy! Name one person who hasn’t betrayed me!” “Me!” Everyone was looking at us now. Staring at us is more like it. © 2011 Sydney EllenAuthor's Note
