Lone Tree

Just something I jotted down on the way to Kentucky. More info in the poem. :) Read&Review! :D

Little Lonely Tree;

Why aren't you in the forest?

Why did they exclude you?

Are your leaves not green enough,

Branches not yet strong enough

To hold the bearing weight of judgemental peers?

 

I wish I could stay with you,

Lay beneath the shade of your leaves,

And mock the other trees.

The huge, terrifying giants

That always exclude

The little lonely tree.

 

*NOTE:

I wrote this on a tiny notepad; after seeing a huge forest, with one little frail tree about 30 feet away, all alone. I guess you could say I might've felt something in common with that tree, or maybe just sympathy. Either way, here's to you, Little Lonely Tree. <3

Awe this was cute. I could see there was sympathy in it. It made me feel bad for the little tree. This was good though. Thanks for sharing. :)
