Ocean Eyes

A poem about loving someone, but not trusting them to love you.

Three years ago I saw the ocean in your eyes.

And I wondered how deep it was.

How long until I hit the bottom?

Two years ago I saw the stars in your smile.

And I wondered how bright they were.

How long until they stopped shining?

One year ago I saw my world in your hands.

And I wondered how I could let you hold it.

How long until you broke it?

Now I see the fire in your heart.

And I wonder how could I not see it.

How long had you hid it?
