My Life As An Irony

My Life As An Irony

A Poem by Sworn Brother
"

An attempt to resonate with those who see life as a paradox.

"

All my life, I've been trying.
All my life, I felt dying.
One day, you wake up inspired.
Another day, you wake up expired.

I've been planning things.
I've been moving on a path I designed by thought.
I wait till the phone rings,
only to end up with veritable distraught.

What am I doing wrong?
This life ain't no song.
There's not a rhythm to make it right,
'cause you'll still end up wrong.

Tonight, I shall sleep.
Tomorrow, I shall wake.
But, will I surrender in peace?
Or will I, again, wake up in grease?
