![]() parts of meA Poem by Prescilla
My eyes fell from the sky, whirling in a vortex of blue. They fell down steeply into my face, and encased themselves forever in my head.
My lips formed out of the water, like pink waves of sweet ocean. They are wild and free, and their song is like the coastal wind.
My hands came from the earth, like long branches of trees they grew up out from me reaching to the sun.
My legs turn their roots deep into the rivers, running and running, moving continuously, changing and creating, and providing strength.
My breasts are the mountains of the world; the turning and turning land, rising and falling, easing the curve of the earth with the sun.
My shoulders grew out of one another, letting the wings that once stood there fall to the ground in a puff of grey dusted feathers.
My neck came from the goblet of the Goddess. Crested with jewels and the support for sweet wines.
My hips curved like a clam shell, holding something precious and beautiful in its walls.
My feet furled out of roses, like new-born earth, upturned, moving and keeping me in balance.
My back unrolled out of the nautilus shell, layers and layers of bone and chambers to keep safe my entire being.
Together I am only a limb of the Goddess Herself.
