Whiskey Train

Whiskey Train

A Poem by Misterr Remeat
"

A blues tune

"
It always seems to be rainin'
even in the bright sunshine
Always seems to be rainin'
and i'm goin' outa' my mind
Why oh why
Has life handed me so much pain
Everything sure went off the tracks
when I caught that whiskey train
I used to like women and whiskey
had a little girl of my own
used to love women and whiskey
but now women just leave me alone
Why oh why
Has life handed me so much pain
I knew that i'd lost my good woman
the day I caught that whiskey train
I once had a happy home
I even had some employment
I sure had a happy home
Lost it all to whiskeys enjoyment
Why oh why
Has life handed me so much pain
I'm living in a back alley
now that I caught that whiskey train
Now I can give you some wisdom
If you'll part with a dollar or two
There's nothing to gain from the whiskey
and oh so much to lose
This is why oh why
Life has handed me so much pain
My whole life went off the tracks
the day I caught that whiskey train

Being a blues fan, I can almost hear Clapton tweaking his frets to this one! *smile* I love the title, as it conjures up everything "the blues" represents for me. Good job of crafting rhyme & rhythm into heartrending refrains! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Basic 12 bar blues. Just gotta figure out which key of blues harp to solo in. Cheers!
