SymphonyA Poem by Misterr RemeatI got a ton of 'emIt was the wonderful end of a long dreamy day orange light of the sun on her eyes did it play She turned her sweet face to look at the sea she asked me a question I could never foresee I know you might think this question crazy but If I were a song how would you play me I leaned back on the grass and gazed at the ocean I gathered my thoughts and came up with a notion "I'd start with the surf and the wind in the trees these are the basics your heartbeat to me A little bass cello And the cry of a tern then sweet violins to make the heart yearn Then a harp and a flute played in unison as wind flutters your hair in my minds vision The woodwinds come in as your passions are stirred louder they get as they demand to be heard Kettle drums signal the coming of thunder will it pass by? or rip us asunder The cymbals and drums The flashes of lightning Drown out all else as passions are heightening then I final great horn signals storms passing leaving the audience fearful and gasping The the waves they grow smaller With the woodwinds and cello the harp comes back in to make things more mellow all is calm now as we lie on the grass the ocean below us now looks like glass That is how I would play you sweet lass she sat and she smiled she looked up at the skies she looked over to me with a laugh in her eyes "such a way with words such a lovely song but don't you think I deserve one more than three minutes long." © 2017 Misterr Remeat |
