Holding it in

Holding it in

A Story by Abbigail R. Snyder
"

This is what my teacher calls a flash fiction piece. It is about a girl who is living a fake life to be popular. BUT, this piece doesn't tell you the whole story, but instead leaves you in suspense.

"
She walked through the long wooden floor hallway with heavy steps. She kept taking deep breaths, in and out, tying to control her true emotions that she had been hiding inside her all day. The emotions that kept wanting to burst out from her chest and swallow her whole. She kept walking though, jsut trying to make it to her room. When she finally reached the last room on the hall, she slowly turned the marble colored knob and walked in and gently shut the barrier that separated her true self from the world. Then she felt the first tear slip from her eyes, her fake smile disappear, and her body fall towards the floor.
