Past is dark, Present is bright

the past doesnt pull you back, it teaches you life lessons for the greater good.

We all have pasts that were not proud of

but none of it should matter to the people we love

We may have done bad and wild things

but doesn't mean we never let go of the strings.

The past you had was out of hand

I know what was done but I still stand

You may feel that your a bad guy

If that was true, by now I would of said bye.

The past is left behind, and now here is the present

don't worry my dear, I still find you pleasant

Lets think of the future, stay in the light

I can see, its very bright.

I can relate to this poem because my boyfriend had done some things in the past that he isn't too proud of and he was scared to tell me because he thought I would look at him differently. But I felt the exact same way as this poem feels. Great portrayal of your emotions. Thank you for sharing
