Chapter two- New kid at school

Chapter two- New kid at school

A Chapter by sweetsunshine42

“Hey, so did you figure who Razor was?” Colby asked the next day at school.

I shook my head, “Nope. But he didn’t talked to me anywords, so I guess it’s fine.” I said, considering my words slowly.

Colby laughed. “Please Roxy, at least he has good taste. I mean, you’re gorgeous, way pretty than me.” She gushed, staring at me adoringly.

I shrugged uncertainly, feeling very uncomfortable. I didn't liked the feeling of someone spying on you, it was freaky, creepy even. But I guess Colby is right.

I have waist length curly blonde hair. My body was slim but I had curves. I had slender long arms and feet. My eyes were the deepest of ocean blue with a hint of green. I had high cheekbones and a slightly upturned nose. My skin was naturally tan, that made me look sporty in a chic style.  I’m also 16, turning 17 like half a year later.  I was ok at popularity, like I was popular-ish. But I was different from other popular girls, which can be a good thing, or a bad thing. My life was pretty much perfect.

I have a normal family, with my mom, dad and my little brother. I get perfect grades, perfect clothes, everything.  But having a stalker crushing on me? No, that’s not good, not even close to great.

“But you’re pretty too Colby.” I tried again.

She shook her head. “Nah, I’m just plain old me.” She winked.

I cracked a smile.

Colby wasn’t plain; she was really pretty in a cute way. She had soft blonde curls that ended right at her shoulders. Her skin was naturally tan, like me and pale green eyes that always lighten up in excitement when she has a great idea.

I sighed heavily. “But still Colby, don’t you think that’s creepy? I mean, one second you’re messaging your friends, then the next second, a message from a guy pops up.” I shivered, “So not cool.”

She frowned, ceases formed on her forehead.  “Roxy, you need to chill, he’s probably one of your brother’s friends.” She smiled at me.

I nodded slowly that made sense. My brother Ian always had friends adding me because of their stupid crush on me.

I gave Colby a big smile. “Yeah, you’re right, that must be it.”

I had Bio for first block. When I got there, I found Jaden Wilson, my best friend leaning on the door frame, waiting for me.

He had blonde hair; his blue eyes always looked a lot like sapphires. He was bulky, from training at the gym. And the thing is that, He is a charmer. He had the godly good looks without even knowing it. He can attract tons of ladies by just flashing a grin. We met in Kindergarten, when he first shared his ham and cheese sandwich with me when I left my lunch at home.

“Hey Roxy.” He greeted me.

I smiled. “Hey.” I replied, making my way to our usual seats.

But when I got there I saw that Jaden’s seat was occupied by another guy. I glanced at Jaden who shrugged. Usually, there weren’t much people sitting near the front because the teacher mostly checks if the front students are paying attention, never really the back. So I’m guessing that’s a new kid.

I sighed. “Let’s sit at the back.” I mouthed.

Jaden nodded.

“Why not.” He mouthed back.

I chuckled and walked towards the back. I quickly sat down on the right hand side and stumped down on my seat. Jaden sat down carefully and stared at me. “What’s wrong?” He asked, tilting his head sideways.

I sighed. “Nothing, I mean, it’s not important.” I mumbled, grabbing a random utensil and started doodling.

Jaden gave me a doubtful look. “I don’t think so it was ‘nothing’.” He said stubbornly. “Come on, tell me, it won’t be that bad.” He pressed.  I pursed my lips, deciding if I should tell him or not.

He caught my eye and gave me a cute boyish grin. “Come on Roxy.”

I rolled my eyes not falling for his charm. Most girls would drool over Jaden when they saw that smile. To be honest, Jaden was pretty popular with the girls, not that I cared.

“Nuh uh. I’m not going to say anything.” I turned my eyes away from him and started concentrating on my drawing.

“But I thought we’re best friends.”

I glanced at him.

 “We are.” I replied.

He gave me a frustrated look. “Aren’t we suppose to share our problems?” He pointed out.

“Yeah, but we’re not in kindergarten anymore Jaden. We could have some secrets now. I bet even you have some stuff you don’t want to tell me.” I said softly.

“I doubt it.” He muttered under his breath.

I raised my eyebrows. “Huh?”

He quickly smiled. “Nothing, I was just saying why Mr. Smiths is late today.”

I gave him a vague look, but nodded as convincingly as I can.

“Hey I was thinking-” Jaden started, just when Mr. Smiths entered the room.

“Morning class, pardon me for being tardy today. The traffic was outrageous.” He cleared his throat and checked the papers on his desk.

Jaden snapped his mouth shut.

“Anyways, class, today we have a new student, Drake, please come up to the front, so you can introduce yourself.”
