Rivers of Light on a Stormy Night

Rivers of Light on a Stormy Night

A Chapter by Norma M Sutton

Rivers of light
Ebb and Flow
A steady gleaming eddy
Swirling twirling to and fro
Eerie sight to watching eyes

Drums of thunder surge
Overcoming senses it swells
Deafening in it's roar
Earth shudders from the sound
Radiates through the night

Still onward they travel
Beacons flashing all around
Floating softly above ground
Undeterred from their flight
Glimmering rivers of light

Lightening flashes blinding light
Still they glitter in the night
Suspended joy taken flight
Effervescent neon bright
Flawless splendor pierces the gloom

With a final booming sound
Storm resigns and lights abound
Shimmering glow with vibration go
Wavering into the dark of night
Leaving dreamers in delight

Very nice vocabulary. When I first read this I felt like it was a poem. Great topic and very nice details. Great job with this piece.

That was beautiful... kind of metaphoric for how good things come to us when we least expect it.
