Follow the WindA Poem by Norma M Sutton
And the wind blew long and low
Softly moaning to and fro Calling with longing Come let us go Evening and morning It cries ever grew Cold and damp And covered in dew Caught in the passing Of unending grief Darkness surrounding Sealing my fate Crawling in agony Painful and slow Never moving onward The cold aching longing never would go Until underneath the fading light The wind found me with his touch Surrounded and lifted me Waking me up Blowing right through me Taking away the longing Cleaning and dusting The layers away Blowing away cobwebs so dense Waking a new feeling of sense Twirling and dancing So giddy inside Come join me The longing wind cried Dance here under the shadow of night Hold close this body of light Turn over your cares Your worries and fears Touch a new dawn Wipe away those old tears Join the land of the living Don't stop that old fight Move on ever onward To unending light © 2011 Norma M SuttonReviews
