Across The Hands of Time

Across The Hands of Time

A Poem by Norma M Sutton

Hands reach out
Across the spans of time
Beckoning to me

Long fingers glisten
Under the long dead light
Of when we first began

Silver locks awash
In blue skies
Lightening flashes in silent eyes

Thunder rumbles
More vibration then sound
Nature's hand abounds

Planet earth
Beauty once strong and true
Shimmers in vanishing view

Leaving me in pale cool light
Shivering as warmth of day
Fades into hues of night

But over the horizon
Another day comes
Reaching out with the new days sun

Surrounded in warming light
Chills receed into night
Washed over with feelings right

Wonder at a new day's sight
Thanking with all my might
The one that sets the world right
