Ode

Ode

A Poem by Norma M Sutton
"

In memory of those who have passed on

"
Brother of my blood
Brother of my soul
In your footsteps
I follow bold

Sister of my kind
Both blood and soul bind
Hand and hand we traverse
As in old

Mother father
Grandfather too
Today I'm missing you
Hollow and empty I

Someday soon
Under new days sun
Together once again
We come

Holding close
Holding mine
Closer ever closer
Thine

We are what the pat generations made us and we will add on to the legacy to define the future... the best way to honor those who have passed is use the knowledge they gave us as we live on.
