A Cloudy SkyA Poem by Norma M Sutton
Out into the day I seek
Sun rays to warm the weak Instead I find a cloud filled sky Greeting me with a bleary hi Out into the day I stay Enjoying the suns lack of rays Looking at those heavenly banks So grey and bunching into hanks Like so much grey and blue wool I've spun Lifeless in the sunless sky Until pulled and stretched and twisting is done Revealing a warm yarn with a fuzzy halo Then after taking it's fate With careful knitting Yarn all dull and grey Wraps against the cold So was today's dreary fate Wrapping the slumbering earth In it's grey sheltering warmth Holding her snug and tight against the evening cold © 2010 Norma M SuttonAuthor's Note
