Slumberphobia

Slumberphobia

A Chapter by Norma M Sutton
"

Team Renfield

"
From sleep I run both day and night
Always seeking waking light

Pillows hidden from my sight
Bedrooms give me greatest fright

Running on with all my might
Never ever see the night

Dream no dreams I will fight
Never ever see sleeps night

I am higher then a kite
Funny colors fill my sight

Until at last I am undone
Tumble down from my run

Down the dark and lonely path
Never sleep from where I've come

Until
Deep in sleep I am interd

They say "speed" or "uppers" will do that to you. (I don't know what today's terminology is for those drugs) It took some doing to rhyme that many long "I" sounds.

But sleep is fun! (Says the girl who dislikes sleeping more than a few hours at a time.) The dark can be scary though... Excellent poem! Renfieldians unite!

Cool, I can see this. After a violent attack, I would dream about it everynight. Got to were I dreaded going to sleep, for fear of reliving the attack. This is great.
