Tribute

A Poem by Norma M Sutton
"

of a different kind

"

Tribute to the writers
that force me to think
force me to remember
joys and regrets

Tribute to those that
expose their inner selves
for the world to see
for they are brave

Tribute to the writers
who in healing themselves
aid in the healing of those
who read their words and identify

Thank you all.

I think all of us writer and artist-types have been influenced and inspired by the works of others--I know I certainly have. It's a kind of brother and sisterhood, I believe.

Sometime we can learn from other people. Words can open up our mind and hearts. I read the great poets from WW1 poetry. Their words were so powerful and leave you with the sense of the important of being alive and celebrating. A very nice poem. We need books and poetry. Allow us to wander away from our life for a time. Thank you.

Reading others writing always is inspirational when its heartfelt. Sometimes people express exactly what you were thinking but couldn't say. And you can't help but admire those who bare their very souls through their work.

The great thing bout the art community of any kind is we can inspire one another... what a delightful little tribute... I am sure you have inspired many as well.

This is great, I see tributes and honors like this occasionally, but I like this one better. Because Frank McCort, Larry McMurtry, Samuel Clemens, and the guy who wrote "The Road", and many others, including great writers here, like C.Boylan and Sam whatzizname, FORCE me to THINK.
Nice.
