The Juggling Match

The Juggling Match

A Poem by Norma M Sutton
"

reflections on loosing a best friend

"

How do you juggle friendship and romance?
What starts out as common interests and ideas
Shared thoughts and dreams

When it turns into something more?
When romance blooms and that love of a friend grows
Into shared dreams and plans

What happens to the friend when the romance fades?
More to the point, how can a friend die and fade away
Those dreams fade from view

How do you juggle friendship and romance?
When a best friend becomes the hearts desire
And you bid them adieu
