Too Hot

Too Hot

A Poem by Norma M Sutton
"

thoughts after a week of 100 plus heat

"
Too hot to eat
Too hot to sleep
Too hot to lament and weep

Dripping wet
Covered in sweat
Longing for relief so sweet

Evening comes
With the setting sun
Another day is done

Hot night air
Longing to swear
Summer evenings to bear

Too hot to eat
Too hot to sleep
Too hot to lament and weep

Oh, i like this poem :) Here is Australia we are in winter so the feelings over the heat and making me remember our hot summers was very comforting :) Although, it does get pretty hot, so i sympathize with you!

I am with you on this... when overheated it seems the mind gets so fried that focus is impossible and nothing is appealing to the senses... a very witty piece of writing.

Too hot, indeed!!

This type of "to" needs two o's dear. "Too hot to eat...too hot to sleep" etc... but I heartily agree with the sentiment!
