Clash of LoveA Poem by Norma M SuttonFor the contest Love is in the AirAs summer days shorten And the days begin to cool The rams think of court'n And they begin to duel Flowing through the crisp autumn air So still and full of grace A sound that raises human hair Rams towards one another race Heavy horns meet Feet rise in the air Ewes in silence eat Each watching as they dare After long battle is done The winner looks around with regal glare Looks forward to what comes And moves towards his ladies fair Five months after Heavy ladened ladies Bring forth Sons and daughters So fragile and new Until autumn days do shorten And days begin to cool Once again the clash of love renews © 2010 Norma M SuttonReviews
