The Fight

The Fight

A Story by Norma M Sutton
"

Thinking about my silly old tom cat after having him come home from a fight

"

You come home bloody and torn, smelling of ooze.

You ask, no beg, for a special meal to be prepared for you.

My ice cold water is all drunk and gone, along with two packets of fish.

You stay for a while and then you leave once again.

Monkey old man, your tom catting ways bring you into harm's way.

boys will be boys as will cats be cats. I'm not sure who he found to fight with, but fight he did and came home looking much like a very used dishcloth. After helping himself to the packet of fish, that was my special treat for me lol, and drinking icy cold water he spent the night under my arm only to ask for more soft food and water this morning before leaving to sleep the day away in the crawlspace under the house. No doubt he will be back wanting more fish tonight lol

Ha ha Norma - I missed your intro and thought this was your man coming home and ooze should be booze! I suppose cats have more of a life of their own and get into all sorts of scraps. You have caught this perfectly. I can see you are very close!
Take care.

Heh-heh. The term "Tom-catting" didn't evolve from nothing. Let's hope the other Tom looked worse.
