Surreal

A Chapter by Norma M Sutton

I sit in mourning on a swing.

Wait . . . a porch swing in a university library?

How odd

Around me people pass unimpressed

Wait . . . even in a dream I know

Swings and libraries do not go

He crosses the lobby unimpressed

By my swing or lack of dress

Sympathy he shows for my distress

He asks for a date

For which I must wait

What time I ask

4:30 . . . am, how odd

Even in a convoluted dream this seems to be

A bit extreme

My Dear Writing Friend,
This made me laugh. When I dream and remember them I find I must have had a friend in these dreams named Timothy Leary, red or blue, one drop or two? Thanks for being braver than I and sharing them.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear
