Cat's Tongue

A Poem by Norma M Sutton

Dermabrasion
Rough, prickly
Scraps, sands, chaffs
A rude way to wake

This is delightful. A rude way to wake up but when we love them we overlook that. They have rough tongues so that they can lap up milk in between those rough spots. This is very sweet.

My Dear Writing Friend,
Your poem made me laugh. I had no clue what the word “dermabrasion” was all about. As it turns out it is rather fitting. With only twelve words you placed a picture in my minds eye that I could actually feel, very well done.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear

dermabrasion |ˌdərməˈbrā zh ən|
noun
the removal of superficial layers of skin with a rapidly revolving abrasive tool, as a technique in cosmetic surgery.
ORIGIN 1950s: from Greek derma ‘skin’ + abrasion .
