Euonymus americanus

Euonymus americanus

A Poem by Norma M Sutton
"

The journey to knowledge has surprising discoveries along the way

"

Small red clusters in my hand
Leaves simple and toothed
Opposite and green
Small flower yellow-green
A mystery is seen

The hunt began in the morn
Suggested names of ones of old
Bittersweet
Strawberry bush
Hearts-a-bustin'
Bursting heart

Finally the search is done
Euonymus americanus!

I have happily found a botanist expert in taxonomy.
Very new addition to my knowledge.
