Back with a Vengance

Back with a Vengance

A Poem by The Bleeding Quill

You thought you knocked me down, and that I wouldn't be around, to give you round two.
You thought you'd make me drown, listening to the sound, of me needing to be with you.
I'm back with a vengeance, hate flowing in each sentence to give you a better fight,
and I have new found attendance, to school you b*****s, on what is wrong and right.
Somehow I forgot to mention, I lost my way in submission, and settled instead for abuse.
So now there's constant tension found in this petition of your misguided use.
No sweetheart you didn't, in  any anyway put definition into the life of my youth.
Stop play at past afflictions, your no better then other Christians, said in jest and truth.
Every sin is equal, you knew this would have a sequel, stop with your holier then thou.
Your act is quite regal, you even had me fooled, but I won't be played the second time around.
I can't blame them for their ignorance, after all it must be quite bliss, thinking that your a good man.
but we both know better, proof written in each letter, it's all been an act. Try again.
You were never who you claimed to be, driving me to insanity, with your constant lies.
Never were you fair to me, never did I have clarity, never did you try.
The thing that is killing me, is your so willing to be, what you claim your not.
It's the false image you breed, a lie for everyone to see, a deception before God.
So you keep pretending, and you continue sending this false image of the perfect being.
We will see an ending, when you keep sinning, unable to live up to your sad little dream.
