BéatriceA Poem by Aiza E.M. BridgeWritten November 2018 Béatrice (French: BAY-uh-treece) From Latin - Viatrix or Beatrix, meaning "traveller; she who brings happiness"
I swell and crack
And I tell the bees of you Of the nectar from which you will be born The sweetness of what created you And of your names, the four that, when strung together, become yours Every syllable and sway They hum gently back to me Confirming my knowledge of you, growing curiously inside And I'll spend this whole winter learning you, Earthside Side by side Finding our delicate balance Mother, daughter Little honeysuckler, I give from myself Momma, Béa So the bees who meet you in Spring and the Sun that greets your first Summer, green with life Will awaken to your sunny laughter You, Tanzanite Traveller You, Bringer-of-Joy © 2023 Aiza E.M.
