Confidence

Confidence

A Poem by Forgiven

Where is it; Where did it go
Flowers in the field, lay upon her there
Would she ever? Could she bare?
Look inside, feelings aglow
Does she know it... Would she ever know
Who she is deep down inside
All along trying to hide
Who she is, a facade... all in her mind
Damaged and distraught in so many ways
Rememberance of the past - who she's been
Living for the world - living in sin
Hates who she was, still seeing that face
Only now... she finds her hiding place
Safe in His arms; Remembering her sins no more
Is it so easy to close that door
Why so much hate - life full of fear
One and only reason - afraid to draw near
Closer to love - in God's will
Satan will always try to fill
My mind with thoughts I no longer want
I must remember.... With Jesus I've been bought
He's paid the price for my sinful ways
Lord help me number my days
Satan get out! Your nothing but lies
Why so easy to fall in and buy
The s**t he sells trying to keep me down
Put on a smile; wipe away the frown
